Why Studio 305 ?

At Studio 305, students have the opportunity to take a range of classes, including ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, and petite classes, where they learn not only the art of dance but also the importance of teamwork and dedication. Every student receives the personalized attention they need to feel welcomed and supported. The studio fosters a close-knit, family-like atmosphere where students are surrounded by others who share a strong focus on both academic and artistic success. Students also enjoy the excitement of guest choreographers and the opportunity to perform at major events. With a conservatory-style approach, Studio 305 provides a more intimate, one-on-one learning experience that allows for deeper artistic development.

Studio 305 is committed to offering dance as a safe and welcoming outlet for youth, promoting mental wellness in a non-threatening environment. The arts provide a path from hardship to healing, helping young people transition from places of suffering to safety, validation, and connection. In a world where many children face challenges like school violence and suicide, the studio believes in fostering artistic literacy through the Four Strands: creating, presenting, responding, and connecting.

Mr. T’s vision is to empower today’s youth to navigate tomorrow’s challenges by using dance as a way to express complex emotions and struggles that words alone may not capture. The program is designed to increase exposure to the arts, build self-esteem, enhance self-awareness, and promote a positive self-image. Students develop these qualities through weekly dance classes and enrichment workshops, providing a creative and supportive space for growth.

Dancers at Studio 305 can attend up to four days a week, with unlimited classes based on their age, skill level, and ability. Each dancer is treated as an individual, and we encourage parents to enroll their children in multiple classes to get the full 305 experience. For new dancers, Mr. T or the staff will guide them in selecting the right classes to match their experience and goals.
