Combo Ballet Level I | Ages 6 & up
Monday's 5-6:00pm ages 7-10yrs
Tuesday's 5-6:00pm ages 9-11yrs
The goal of Ballet Level I is to impart the fundamentals of classical ballet. This class will focus on basic ballet technique, proper body alignment, French terminology, and musicality. Students will be introduced to elementary barre and center work as well as basic acro moves.
Ballet Level II | Ages 11 and up
Tuesday's 5-6:30pm ages 9-11yrs
Wednesday's 5-6:00pm ages 12 & up
After demonstrating a full understanding of Ballet level II, students are invited to Ballet level II. Body alignment and muscle awareness will determine progress. This class will focus on positions of the arms, the direction of the body and increased movement vocabulary. Students may choose to join the team if selected by director or has interest.
Ballet III/Pre-Pointe | Intermediate/Advance
Wednesday's 5-7:00pm ages 12 & up
In Ballet level II/Pointe, attention is paid to the proper extension of the legs and shape of the feet, developing movement sequences, port de bras, and balance. Students will see an increase in difficulty in barre and center work. Students will also begin to focus on repetition and retention.
In Ballet/Point level II, students are given the option to add additional classes to strengthen their core, increase flexibility and round out their movement vocabulary. Students may choose to join the Highest teams.
